The College remains committed to ensuring Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) throughout the College and its regulatory processes and in promoting EDI in the profession, as a whole.
The EDI working group has been focusing on the development of the College’s EDI Plan, following Council’s approval of Health Equity Impact Assessment in June 2024. This is a Ministry of Health expectation within the College Performance Measurement Framework (CPMF).
The EDI plan is expected to further efforts in promoting fairness, inclusivity, and non-discrimination within the College’s regulatory responsibilities. As the College continues its journey towards excellence in regulatory practices, the commitment to advancing EDI standards remains a core priority. The College also remains committed to a focus on EDI training for CPO staff, Council and committee members as part of our mandate.
