On November 3, 2025, the Ontario government passed legislative amendments that expand “As of Right” legislation to make it easier for regulated health professionals registered in other parts of Canada to work immediately in Ontario.
If you’re a fully registered psychologist or psychological associate elsewhere in Canada, and you’re moving to Ontario, you may be able to start working in Ontario immediately for a period of up to six months while you complete your application for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
The College will start accepting applications under the As of Right route on January 1, 2026.
