Quality Assurance Update

The College’s Quality Assurance (QA) Program is designed to support registrants in maintaining their knowledge and skills throughout their professional careers by way of self-assessment and continuing professional development. The program continues to evolve to support quality-of-care and ensure registrant participation enhances professional competency.

CPD AUDITS IN PROGRESS

Each year, the QA Committee conducts Continuing Professional Development (CPD) audits to provide education and monitor compliance with the program requirements. Registrants included in the July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2025 CPD cycle who failed to submit their required Declaration of Completion have been notified of their selection to undergo an audit.

Registrants from this cycle may also be required to submit their CPD records for auditing if they are selected at random. The College has begun notifying those who have been randomly selected via e-mail. Registrants are asked to monitor their e-mails for College communications as random audit selections will continue over the coming months. Registered Behaviour Analysts will be exempt from random auditing this year, as they have not yet been registered with the College for a full two-year period.

Questions pertaining to the audit process or the Quality Assurance Program may be directed to the QA Department at qualityassurance@cpbao.ca.
