The College is mindful that the public and our members hold a wide range of beliefs with respect to what has been called Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and that the environment related to these issues continues to evolve. Sadly, the actions and statements of some have, paradoxically, led to an environment which is experienced as toxic and traumatizing to many.
The College remains committed to fostering safe practices for the benefit of those receiving, providing and regulating psychological and applied behaviour analysis services. We have more work to do in this area and will be temporarily pausing the posting of information to our website while recalibrating our efforts to address the important issues in a way which does not inadvertently cause harm to anyone.
While this is not an easy road to navigate, we intend to pursue the journey in such a way that all stakeholders will feel heard, safe and respected. The EDI Working Group is in the midst of creating a plan to ensure a thoughtful approach to this important matter.
